“We are extremely proud to be recognized by Newsweek for the fifth consecutive year. Our focus on sustainability, both in the way we run our business and in the products we produce, affords us a competitive advantage,” said Stephan B. Tanda, Aptar President and CEO. “The world’s leading brands turn to us because we run our company in a sustainable manner with more than 90% of our energy coming from renewable sources and over 60% of our facilities certified as landfill free through our internal program. In addition, many of our products are sustainable, including fully recyclable and mono-material solutions, reusable components and products made from recycled materials.”

In addition to the recognition by Newsweek, Aptar also was recently recognized by Forbes as a World’s Top Companies for Women and one of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens by 3BL Media for its commitment to ESG.

Aptar actively strives to create new opportunities through product innovation while respecting the planet. As an active member of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBSCD) the company is working alongside other leaders to further actions towards a more circular economy. Aptar publishes an annual Sustainability Report and GRI Index to record and highlight its sustainability efforts.

Newsweek, in partnership with Statista, evaluated America’s Most Responsible Companies based on publicly available data encompassing the three pillars of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environment, Social and corporate Governance (ESG) principles.
