Twist-to-lock aerosols are different from other actuator designs because they do not have a hood/ overcap and they have a built-in lock. They also allow for customizable branding. Aptar Beauty’s collection of twist-to-lock aerosol actuators feature our trademarked, double click™ technology. Audible cues that signal to the consumer the product is locked or unlocked. They also e-commerce, capable, ISTA-6 overbox testing compliant and certified directly through our in-house lab. Our long-standing expertise in spray insert technology is shared cross-platform with our spray pump range to ensure product consistency.

Our twist -to-lock aerosol actuators are available in up to 100% post-consumer recycled resin configurations. Certain design configurations such as the Markus actuator are fully qualified in up to 46% PCR content to perserve structural tolerances and output quality.

Twist-to-lock aerosol actuators work with many formulas. They can pair with different valve types. These include spray, mousse, foam, gel, and powder. Compatibility testing is also recommended to ensure the right valve and actuator pairing.

Our actuators are compatible with both VX and Bag-On-Valve. Our valves are mainly male, except for bag-on-valve which are female. Since our aerosol actuators are mainly female we offer adaptors for our bag-on-valve technology. Our Press Air valve is designed specifically to be used with compressed air or nitrogen.

We offer a wide variety of in-house decoration options for premiumization and brand differentiation. This includes in-mold coloring, metal surface effects, and surface embossing to ensure your product stands out on shelf.
