Aptar Beauty announces the first launch to market of its Nomad Refill fragrance packaging innovation with the new BVLGARI Le Gemme Tygar travel spray. Custom-engineered to pair refined aesthetics with practical functionality, it combines a sophisticated outer casing topped with a marble cap and gold metallic details, and a refillable 10 ml glass vial. Designed as a true objet d’art, this new launch brings together luxury aesthetics and intuitive refill gesture in a convenient on-the-go format.

BVLGARI Enters the Refillable Travel Spray Segment with Nomad Refill

BVLGARI collaborated with Aptar Beauty to extend the iconic Tygar fragrance from Le Gemme Haute Parfumerie collection into an exclusive portable format. The brand’s first refillable travel spray combines precious materials, masterful craftsmanship and refined functionality. Le Gemme Tygar Travel Spray is based on Aptar Beauty's Nomad Refill platform, the industry’s first 10 ml purse spray that is directly refillable on the full-size perfume bottles in less than five seconds, in a clean and secure way. The inside glass vial can be easily removed from the bottom of the main casing and conveniently refilled thanks to a patented integrated connector at its base, compatible with SNI15 screw-on neck finishes. This sealed connection helps prevent leakage and spillage throughout the refill process, enhancing both convenience and product performance. This new intuitive refill gesture is unique on the market and truly elevates the user experience for on-the-go fragrance touch-ups.

Advanced Custom Engineering to Design an Objet d’Art

To bring BVLGARI's vision to life, Aptar Beauty created a fully customized outer case in alignment with distinctive visual codes inspired by the iconic door of the Via Condotti BVLGARI Boutique in Roma. The travel spray features a sleek black anodized aluminium casing enhanced with sophisticated golden finishing. It is crowned with a black marble cap with elegant white veining with a magnetic closure insert for a precise and intuitive opening and closing ritual. A golden aluminium plaque is engraved with the signature BVLGARI logotype on the top. Integrating natural marble into the design is a real technical achievement" says Stephan Brandts, Senior Sales Manager Custom Beauty EMEA. The challenge lies in mastering the aesthetic complexities of natural stone and selecting the right type of marble to ensure a consistent color, quality and veining density for each piece. The precious Black Marquina marble achieves this delicate balance between the natural, unique character of each piece and the overall quality and uniformity expected from a luxury object. Both the manufacturing and assembly required extensive design and engineering to ensure seamless integration of the marble, aluminium, metallic components with the dispensing system into a robust, portable packaging.

This launch is the result of two years of co-development between Aptar Beauty’s custom experts and BVLGARI’s teams. As a one-stop partner able to combine dispensing leadership with custom, engineering and material science expertise, Aptar Beauty was able to support the product development across the entire value chain. Tygar Travel Spray features the Classic INUNE prestige fragrance pump, a luxury brands’ favorite from Aptar Beauty's dispensing portfolio. Classic INUNE features an invisible POM-free (Polyoxymethylene) mechanism with a metal-free pathway for optimal formula compatibility and olfactive neutrality. The soft actuation and quick and fine spray are specifically designed to enhance daily fragrance rituals. This project demonstrates Aptar Beauty's ability to leverage dispensing expertise, manufacturing capabilities, technical synergies and disruptive innovation across a global industrial ecosystem to create unique and innovative packaging solutions for the luxury market.
