Each year, the French magazine LePoint publishes, in partnership of Statista, the ranking of the most virtuous French companies in terms of ESG (environment, social, governance). Aptar is again named among the 250 most responsible companies in France and ranked in the top 10 of companies in the health & pharma sector.
For this ranking Le Point, a major French news magazine partners with Statista, an independent data and business institute based in Germany, to compile and publish a list of the companies most focused on ESG. To compile this list an anonymous survey was conducted on 2,000 French companies that employ more than 500 people. Companies are then classified according to each of the ESG categories. Statista has identified key indicators for each of the three categories and each company is ranked based on response and how well they fit that criteria. For example, questions may have included “the amount of waste or carbon emissions for the “Environment” category, the equal pay index or the number of work accidents for “Social”, the number of women on the board of directors or the number of pages in the ESG report for the topic “Governance”, etc.
This is the third year in a row that Aptar has been recognized by Le Point as “One of the Most Responsible companies in France”. Aptar was also recently recognized by Forbes as a top “Female Friendly Company” for 2022. Aptar is committed to reducing its impact on the planet while creating top quality, sustainable products. The company is working in partnership with several sustainability organizations to serve as a business thought leader and advocate for sustainable products and processes within the packaging industry.
