From October 16 to 20, Aptar proudly celebrated our annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Week, under the theme “DEI is in our DNA: Impacting People’s Lives Everywhere.” This theme is inspired by our ongoing commitment to fostering a workplace where all voices are heard, all perspectives are valued, and every individual can bring their whole self to work.
On the Event:
This event was made possible through the extraordinary efforts of our dedicated Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Our ERG’s include ALIGN for gender equity and the upward progression of women, ARC for our LGBTQ+ communities, and BOLD for Black/African American and African descent employees.
Our ERGs curated an agenda that not only celebrated the unique experiences of our employees. The event also provided valuable insights and opportunities for growth and development.
Throughout the week, we engaged in enlightening discussions, heard inspiring personal stories, and shared our progress on DEI. We also had the opportunity to host the thought leaders, Jerrie Ueberle, LaTonya Wilkins and May Snowden, who brought their expertise and experiences to further enrich our understanding of DEI.
We want to thank everyone who participated in DEI Week! We’d also like to thank those who support and champion our DEI initiatives throughout the year.
Gender + Diversity Alliance:
As part of our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, we are an active member of the Gender and Diversity KPI Alliance (GDKA), a group of diversity and inclusion advocates and more than 50 corporate leaders, to support the use of three key performance indicators (KPIs). These are high-level internal measurements that provide an overview of the diversity of our workforce.
