Aptar is pleased to share that Kimberly Chainey, our EVP, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary has been named a Legends in Law by the Burton Awards.

The Burton Awards, a national 501©(3) non-profit in association with the Library of Congress and alongside the sponsors of Law360 and the American Bar Association, released its 26th annual list of outstanding general counsel.

Recipients were selected by the “Legends in Law Select Committee” and the criteria for selection included integrity and professionalism, experience in addressing matters of national and global significance and their creativity and resourcefulness. The 2025 Legends in Law are luminaries who have truly distinguished themselves in the profession of law. They have all earned the honor by being exemplary leaders in law.

This recognition is a testament to both my tremendous legal mentors and the outstanding colleagues over the years with whom I share a commitment to upholding justice and integrity for the companies and communities that we serve,” said Kimberly Chainey, Aptar’s EVP, CLO and Corporate Secretary.

Ms. Chainey is one of 18 general counsel members being recognized. She is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of experience working with companies across a variety of regulated industries including Pharma/Biotech, Consumer Products, Transportation and Global Manufacturing. She has served on Aptar’s Executive Committee since 2020 and is responsible for the company’s global legal affairs, compliance, and government relations functions.

Ms. Chainey was previously on the board of an NYSE listed optical components company. She is on the of the Board of Trustees of the Montclair Art Museum and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.

Ms. Chainey earned her JD/MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, cum laude from Harvard University, Harvard-Radcliffe College.
